Don and Mary Carico founded Lakewood Photography in 1985. In the very beginning, they decided that they would provide service to their clients as if they were serving each other. Each portrait session or wedding would get only the very best they had to offer. This philosophy has not changed over the years and is still their Number One goal.

About Lakewood Staff

	Don Carico, B.A., M.A., C.P.P. – Don is one of the few Certified Professional Photographers in Houston and serves on the Board of Directors of the Professional Photographers Guild of Houston. He is also a member of the Texas Professional Photographers Association and the Professional Photographers Association of America. As a member in good standing, he abides by the strict Codes of Ethics established by these professional organizations. In addition, Don taught photography, cinematography, and videography to the NASA astronauts for seventeen years. Don has been married to Mary for 28 years and together they have two beautiful daughters. Aleta graduated from Auburn University and Anna is a sophomore at The University of North Texas. Don graduated from California State University, Chico and majored in Industrial Arts specializing in Photography, Graphic Arts and Graphic Design. He is also a former instructor pilot in the United States Air Force where he proudly served for seven years.
	Mary Carico – Mary keeps things at Lakewood Photography on an even keel. She is undoubtedly one of the very best photographic retouch artists in Texas. She has a talent for making our clients look their best. In addition to performing miracles on her computer, Mary has a special knack for helping our clients select just the right frame for that special portrait. She is not only a wonderful mother and wife, but also a Bible scholar who loves God with all her heart. Mary Graduated from Mississippi University for Women in Columbus, Mississippi where she studied Music Education.
	Dawn Stevens – Dawn has a special eye for knowing what looks good through the camera and is an excellent photographer. Dawn has been serving our Lakewood Photography clients for over three years and is now the primary photographer for our children. She is an accomplished retouch artist and does an excellent job at whatever needs doing. Dawn graduated from The University of Houston at Clear Lake with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. She has been married to her husband, Toby, for eight years and they have a beautiful two year old daughter, Reagan.
	Jennifer Broddle– Jennifer began working for Lakewood Photography during high school. After a twelve-year leave of absence to attend college, marry and have babies, she is back as our wedding production manager. Jennifer is extremely efficient and is motivated to do whatever is best for our clients and the business. She is full of new and exciting ideas. Jennifer graduated from Texas Tech University with a double major in Public Relations and Political Science. She and Shawn have been married for eight years and have two boys, Hank and Harris.
	Aleta Carico– Aleta is the newest addition to Lakewood Photography. She graduated from Auburn University in 2006 with a degree in Communications and Marketing. Aleta and her fiancŽ Colin Levesque moved back to the Houston area in May 2008. Aleta came to Lakewood Photography as our much-needed office manager and marketing director. She takes care of all of our advertising, displays, and website and has helped establish order and efficiency in all that we do for our clients.
